Attractive and User-friendly Designs
If you want your website visitors to take you seriously, you need to have a professional looking website.
We have a large selection of designs that you can chose from once your site is up and running. See the Designs/Demos page to see what designs are available to you with the standard plan.
If you’d like, you can order a site to be custom designed just for your Church. There will be an additional set up fee if you decide to go that route.
All of our web designs have been carefully created with special attention to style and usability. We provide you with a slick and easy to use navigation system that utilizes pull down menus so that you can easily organize as many pages on your site as you would like.
12 Default pages with sample content
Your site comes with 12 default pages. Each page comes with a description that tells how to best use the page and also comes with sample content to give some writing ideas as you begin to create your own material.
To edit your site you simply login to your editing room where you can easily erase existing content or photos and then add your own. It’s as simple as sending an email.
You can add new pages, delete existing pages, or hide existing pages from the public so you can edit them at your own pace and republish them at a later date.
Church websites often have large amounts of content that can be difficult for site visitors to navigate. Because of this, the sample content on your pages was written by a website usability specialist who designed the content structure of your site in a way that no matter who visits your site, and no matter what questions they have about your church, they will be able to find answers to those questions within one click or less.
You can easily add photos, photo galleries, audio files, and even videos to pages along with text.
Your Church Blog
A Blog is an online Journal. You can write as many blog or journal entries as you like. Your blog entries can be simple text, or you can enhance them with photos, photo galleries, audio files, or videos. Your blog is, by far, your most powerful online tool for teaching your message.
Site visitors can leave comments on blog posts. You must approve their comments before they show up on the website.
You can allow multiple people to become blog Authors. For example, if your Choir Director wants to give singing tips online, and your youth pastor wants to post photo albums of recent activities, each of them can have their own username and password that allows them to get on the website and write posts. The author name appears at the top of each post.
The importance of keeping a Church Blog
Keeping a regularly updated blog will do several important things for your church:
- Help blog authors to organize their thoughts through the process of writing
- Allow authors to receive critical feedback from their readers through blog comments
- Insure that people return to your site often to read new posts
- Give your active church members something to read and think about in between meetings
- Provide inactive members of your church with a private place where they can study the word and re-kindle their faith
- Give the preacher of your church the opportunity to share thoughts with other Preachers
- Share your message with nonbelievers around the world
- Add more content to your website that will help your site be more visible to search engines like Google and Yahoo. More blog entries equals more visitors to your site
Blog Organization
All blog posts are automatically archived by date so that you and your visitors can easily go back in time to find a favorite post. In addition to the automatic archiving, you can create categories for your posts. For example, because your Choir Director is providing online signing tips, you can make her a category called “Singing Tips” and she can place each of her posts in that category.
If your Church has a soup kitchen and also does an annual river clean up, you might create a category called “Charity”. In this category you can place any post having to do with charity. This could include several sermons on charity, a tutorial on how to start a soup kitchen, or a photo gallery of your last big service project.
Blog Comments
When you write a blog post, visitors to your site can leave comments on them. In order to leave a comment they must first give you their name and email so that you can contact them privately if so desired. You can also respond to them directly in the comments section of each post.
When someone writes a comment, you will receive an email asking you to approve the comment. Once you approve the comment it will appear on your website for all to see.
Data Archiving
If your church has a large amount of data they would like to organize for the public, such as audio recordings of weekly sermons or maybe a chapter by chapter Bible Study guide, you can organize these in your blog through the creation of blog categories. It’s simple to do.
Site Search
Your website comes with a search bar that your visitors can easily use to search the content of your website.
Events Calendar
Your Events Calendar is a powerful way to keep all your members in the know on upcoming events. When you add an event to the calendar it will be displayed in two places.
- In your little sidebar Calendar.
- On your large Calendar on your Events Calendar Page
Site users just need to click on the event to see the details. Nobody will ever have to unknowingly miss an event again.
Online Bible
Your online Bible allows visitors to search the Bible in 20 of the most popular English translations including the King James and the ESV. You can also read in a number of foreign languages such as Spanish, French, and German.
1GB of Storage
Your website comes with 1GB of storage by default. That should be more than enough for all of your churches photos and audio files. If you end up needing more space, just let us know and we’ll work it out.
Site Statistics
Your website keeps track of how many unique visitors you have had on your site and much more. Just Login and click on your stats button to get all the info you need. Having this information will help you see your websites strengths and weaknesses so you can make improvements.
